Francesca Gaspari
Francesca is the Executive Director of ItaLingua, was born and raised in Bergamo. She pursued acting for four years and later graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Bergamo. In 1986, she found herself in San Francisco, having arrived on the notes of love and jazz. She has been teaching Italian since 1990 - joining ItaLingua in 1996 where she taught and organized cultural events. She became the Director in 2001. Besides teaching, she is a Reiki practioner. She also loves music, dancing, hiking, and knitting. Her biggest passion is ItaLingua, its students and teachers!

Lorenza Graziosi
Lorenza was born and raised in Italy. She graduated from "Scuola di Teatro La Scaletta" in Rome. She has been teaching Italian at ItaLingua since 2002. Her students especially appreciate the enthusiastic, creative and fun atmosphere of her classroom. Lorenza's biggest passions are Carlo and Saverio, her two sons.

Nicoletta Gherardi
Nicoletta was born and raised in Rome, she graduated with certificate of proficiency in German and English. She worked for nearly 15 years in the Public Relations division of an American company in Rome, while tutoring High School students in both German and English language and literature. In 2001, she moved to San Francisco and has been teaching Italian language and culture since then - joining ItaLingua in 2003.

Gianluca Corinaldesi
Gianluca was born in Ancona (Marche), Gianluca lived in Rome from 2000 and moved to San Francisco in late 2008, when he joined ItaLingua. After graduating in Economics, from the University of Ancona, he earned a second degree in Cinema and Theater at the University of Bologna. He has worked in mainstream theater, film and television as an assistant director. He has also directed several theater productions, shorts, videos and documentaries, and taught direction and screenwriting in theater and film workshops. Currently he collaborates with the Center for Digital Storytelling of Berkeley.

Vittoria Salmoiraghi
Vittoria grew up in Busto Arsizio, near Varese. She moved to Milan while attending the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, where she graduated in Clinical Psychology in 2005. She obtained her Italian license as a psychologist in 2006 and in 2007 moved to San Francisco. She has been tutoring middle school students of all ages and she has been collaborating with the ItaLingua Institute for the past year. She loves to read all kinds of books and her favorite hobbies are cooking (homemade pasta and ravioli in particular) and relaxing doing the Settimana Enigmistica (a famous Italian crossword weekly magazine).

Silvia Castellini
Born and raised in Milan, she earned her Master's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures (English and German) from the State University of Milan. After having taught English and Italian as a second language in Milan county schools and Bicocca State University, she moved to Long Beach California, in 2006. Here she worked as Italian Lecturer at the California State University of Long Beach. Recently she started a second Master's in Spanish. Since May 2010 she lives in Santa Clara. She joined Italingua in Fall 2010, and despite the long journey from Santa Clara, she is enthusiastic about ItaLingua's environment and students. Her passions are theater, art and cooking.

Karen Antonelli
Born in Trieste and raised in Rome, Karen spent the first twenty years of her life in Italy. She attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, receiving both her BA and MA degrees in Italian. She then continued her graduate studies in Italian at UCLA where she earned her Ph.D. At one point she considered a change in careers and returned to school to study business administration obtaining her MBA from USC. However, Italian has always been her passion and she returned to teaching the language she loves. During her extensive career, Karen has taught classes at Vassar College, UCLA, USC, Occidental College and Pasadena City College. Prior to moving to San Francisco three years ago, Karen taught accredited Italian grammar, literature and film classes at UCLA Extension for twenty years.

Yanina Gori
Yanina was born in Cordoba (RA) in an Italian-Argentine family. She moved to Milano with her family when she was seven years old. She graduated in Economics at Bocconi University (Milan) in 2004. She moved to Bologna in 2006 where she got her BA in ?Cooperation and Development? (Political Science). She discovered her passion for teaching Italian in 2010 when she started teaching privately while she was living in Argentina working as an international civil servant for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has recently moved to San Francisco and joined ItaLingua, falling in love immediately with its warm environment and ?Italian soul?. She loves travelling, reading, and cooking.
