Letteratura (Fluency Required)$250
Carlo Lucarelli Un giorno dopo l'altro (2000)
We will read "Un giorno dopo l'altro" (2000) by Carlo Lucarelli one of the most acclaimed Italian crime-writers. A professional killer code-named Pit Bull is at large in the cities of Italy. His skill with prosthetics, wigs and makeup means that no two victims witness the same terrifying final vision. This compelling novel is a hunt for a man with no face. Only the picture of a pit bull terrier left behind at each murder can link the crimes.
Day after day, Ispettore Negro works on her seemingly impossible case. But when a young man unwittingly encounters Pit Bull in an Internet chat room, he provides Negro with the clue that could lead her to her target.
Class discussions will help students improve their conversation skills while analyzing how globalization is changing the texture of both Italian economy and society. In addition, some of the most advanced
grammar concepts will be reviewed.
Letteratura classes withh start on January 16th, 2012.
